People using Noddington Park will have noticed the makeover it’s had recently. All the conifers have been cut back and the play equipment has been painted. In May the path will be re-laid and protruding tree roots will be reburied to avoid people tripping up.
HS2 will be carrying out trial trenching, along a section of Tamworth Road,
which will involve digging into the ground to establish what is underneath
the surface. This will provide HS2 with information on the location of
underground utilities, which will be needed to assess construction plans.
For the work to be completed in a safe environment, HS2 will be installing
temporary traffic lights on Tamworth Road. HS2 will relocate these traffic
lights as works progress along either side of the carriageway.
There will be access to the frontages. The temporary lane closures will be in place from 15- 26 March between 9:00am and 3:30pm. HS2 teams may be on site up to one hour before and one hour after the works to set up and secure the site at the end of each day. For more information click on the link below.
HS2 will be carrying out archaeological test pitting work on land off
Darnford Lane. This work is due to start from Monday 15th March for
around 1 week (subject to weather and site conditions). To accommodate mobilising and demobilising the works, a section of Darnford Lane between Marsh Farm and Ketteridge House will be closed on Monday 15th and Friday 19th March. Traffic will be diverted along Lichfield Road and Ryknild Street. Machinery will be used to remove the topsoil before archaeologists dig by hand and carefully record any findings.
